324 lives saved already and we are only just beginning!

Club RED challenge is quickly swinging into gear as things begin to settle down and the university year is well under way. March has seen a massive increase in blood donations! To date in just 3 months, collectively we have succeeded last year’s combined total!! Student Paramedics have donated 114 times, saving 342 lives! That’s a fantastic effort, and we are well on the way to 170 donations – at this rate we might even make it by the half way mark! What a big year 2011 is going to be. CSUSPA (Charles Sturt University) has shot to a commanding lead with a huge 89 donations. Fantastic effort, what an enormous achievement - well done! SPU (Queensland University of Technology) and Paraquinas (Australian Catholic University) round out the top three. CSUSPA has set the pace, and is off to a great start, but there’s still a long way to go – another 9 months so don’t despair if your society is just getting into the Club RED swing.

This year, with the help of the Red Cross, SPA is able to facilitate group donations and provide endless information on static sites (set donation centers) around Australia. So if you would like more information on where or how to donate, please visit the SPA’s website, or contact EJ Flavell via email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
