The University of Tasmania (Sydney Campus) Student Paramedic Association (UTASSPA)

The 1st and 2nd year UTAS Sydney Paramedic Students.

The University of Tasmania (Sydney Campus) Student Paramedic Association (UTASSPA) represents students undertaking the Bachelor of Paramedic Practice degree in Rozelle, Sydney. Located adjacent to and in consultation with the Ambulance Service of NSW, the School of Medicine at UTAS offers a 2 year, fast track (3 semesters per year) degree.

Working closely with the NSW branch of Paramedics Australasia (PA), UTASSPA aims to offer professional and personal development by allowing members the opportunity to attend continuing professional development sessions by guest speakers from a variety of health care fields; as well as running social outings to not only make and build on friendships but increase social development. UTASSPA represents the needs as well as wants of members and also entitles members to the benefits of associate membership with PA, including a years subscription to the RESPONSE magazine and discounts at the nearby Paramedic Shop.

UTAS is now in its second year of running the degree in Sydney and its run by volunteers who are always willing to help out and assist the needs of members (and non-members!).

UTASSPA would like to proudly present our recently elected executive group for 2011:

President - Dylan Snape
Vice President - Jacinta Bourke
Secretary - Richard Griffiths
Treasurer - Stuart Bradshaw
Professional Development Officer - Daniel Tardo
Social Planning Officers - Nick Hart and Sarah Wardley
