Members $Free. Non-members $11.

A NIGHT FOR PARAMEDICS TO

DATE: Saturday, 30^th August

TIME: 7.10pm (sharp)

WHERE: Dreamscape Yarra Cruises, Docklands

(Specific meeting place TBA)

    * Four-hour river cruise down the Yarra through Port of Melbourne,

      Williamstown & Port Phillip Bay.

    * Drinks including light & heavy beer, quality red and white wine,

      sparkling wine, orange juice and soft drinks

Training Sessions!!! 

Our good friends at ACAP have generously agreed to help us run some scenario training sessions. These scenarios’ will involve us working side-by-side with Qualified Ambulance Paramedics AND MICA’s. Their donation of time will help us to gain critical scene and patient assessment skills.  Scenario’s will be a mixture of trauma and medical related emergencies. 

However, places are limited to 20 people per session. Please bring you stethoscope and BP cuff too. 

Session 1 : Tuesday 8^th July, 2008 

Session 2 : Tuesday 15^th July, 2008 

Time: 6-9pm

Location: 75 Brady Street, Port Melbourne

 Hey All….

The friendly folk at VUSPA have organised a fabulous pub crawl for you geezers, to celebrate the end of semester!!

2nd years kick off from the Anglers Tavern (2 Raleigh Road,Maribyrnong, just down from the Waterloo Cup Hotel, a short walk from the showgrounds where the exams are) for some lunch and drinks and kick back in the beer garden out the back after the end of Prac Health Exam.

We’ll then catch up with the 1st years (or they’ll catch up with us!) at The Waterloo Cup Hotel at 6.10pm sharpppppppp so we will probably leave the Anglers at 5.30pm to catch up with the 1st yrs who would have just finished Bio, god bless.

The pub crawl will then go up the road, down the hill, through the city and across to arrive at Father Flannigans Hotel, Collingwood about 9.30pm… (open till about 2pm). This is the timeframe we estimated but we will see how we go…….there are 4 other pubs and a food stop along the way.
 
There will be prizes for ‘various things’ on the pub crawl….and will be a whole lot of fun!
