Kerryn Wratt is as an Intensive Care Paramedic operating east of Mount Hotham in the small town of Omeo, where he is part of the instructor team for Ambulance Victoria’s wilderness response program, as well as a volunteer with Alpine Search and Rescue Victoria.

Omeo is situated in the Shire of East Gippsland, an area well known for complex rescues through harsh environments requiring a well-developed wilderness response skill set.

Kerryn is passionate about this area, and in 2012 he received a scholarship from the Emergency Services Foundation (ESF) to investigate ambulance based wilderness response systems internationally.

This passion has seen Kerryn establish his own company, RescueMED which specialises in providing training and consultancy in the field of wilderness medicine.
