AHPRA Paramedicine Registration Update #1

AHPRA REGISTRATION: Help shape the national standards that all paramedics will need to meet!

Your opportunity to have a say on the national standards that all paramedics will need to meet closes on 8 February 2018.

When paramedicine becomes a regulated profession under the National Scheme, the title ‘paramedic’ will become a protected title under the National Law. This means that only people who are registered with the National Board will be lawfully able to use the title of paramedic.

You have until 5pm AEDT on 8 February 2018 to your say on the standards for: English language skills, criminal history, continuing professional development, professional indemnity insurance arrangements and recency of practice.

To have your say on the proposed registration standards visit AHPRA's current consultations page and fill in a feedback form before submission close on 8 February 2018 -

Heard about AHPRA's Webinar? To prepare paramedics for the transition into the National Scheme, AHPRA are hosting a webinar to help you find out more about the five mandatory registration standards and the time-limited grandparenting provisions.
