Of course you do. What a silly question.
Applications are opening very soon for SPA's 2018 Executive Committee, and we're getting excited! We're looking for fun, dedicated and enthusiastic people to lead SPA in 2018.
Thinking about getting involved? Here's what you need to know.
What is it?
The Committee is a team of approximately 16 Paramedic Students & recent Graduates from Australia and New Zealand. Each representative has their own role to complete on their own time. These roles are very self-guided and require self-motivated and driven people to complete the roles successfully.
Please remember, these are volunteer roles.
Why would I want to do that?
Not only is the Committee a great way to meet like-minded students from across Australia & NZ, getting involved in SPA creates opportunities for you to network with paramedics, clinicians and professionals alike from around the world as well as being apart of a bigger picture facilitating and creating opportunities for peers from a local to a global level.
How much time will it take up?
Most roles require about 5 hours p/week of your time. This can vary, and will increase coming up to SPAIC time, generally at approximately September/October but subject to change. Larger roles such as Convenor and Co-Chairs are likely to require a larger commitment, such as 10 hours p/week.
Am I eligible?
If you're a current paramedic student or are in your first year out of university (GAP/Intern/Graduate year). Of course - you must be a current SPA member. It is preferred that you have some experience in your local SPA Society (University Student Association/Club), however this is not necessary. These roles are all voluntary.
Where do I sign up?!
Applications will open within 2 weeks. An email will be sent to all current SPA members to advise. Keep in touch with our web and socials for more details.
